#RANSOMWARE = a type of malware that restricts access to the infected computer system in some way, and demands that the user pay a ransom to the malware operators to remove the restriction.
Like me, you have probably been alarmed about the all-too-frequent stories (some in the links of this post) about the topic of #Ransomware, a condition that individuals and businesses alike would like to avoid at all cost. For some reason some Los Angeles hospitals have been specific targets of these attacks recently and more will probably follow. Reading about the subject, discovery soon follows that the #1 way to protect against #Ransomware is to regularly, meaning daily, backup files.
