Common interest developments (CIDs and HOAs) often exist in proximity to golf courses, but not always without issues with the owner-operator of those courses. As you can read in the following 'social current see', the issue usually has to do with maintenance of the course, but can deal with conflict over the mere presence of the course. Usually, because the course is owned and operated by an independent third party, the relationship with the HOA is only governed by the covenant (CC&R) that has been put in place and agreed to by both parties. The greatest problem with noisy neighbors in our HOA community of 1317 residents has not been on the streets and in our dwellings, but in our board meetings where, from time to time, the noise level rises due to some political or governance issue.  Flip②▶ STORIFY ▶ I am happy to report that we have no "noisy neighbor" problem at our condo.  Not in our single unit and not in the neighborhood of some 170 condo dwellers.  Trilogy Glen Ivy, south of Corona, CA, may be one of the most peaceful (noise-wise) 55+ communities in all of the USA, certainly in California.
