What is the future of rental housing in CA?

What is the future of rental housing in CA? It says a great deal about California’s dysfunctional housing market that the state has to have a law that allows people who own rental housing to go out of business. But that is the case. It has been on the books since 1985 after the Legislature, following extensive negotiations with landlord groups and tenant associations, approved what is known as the Ellis Act, which was written with the expressed intent “to permit landlords to go out of business.” ||| https://flip.it/wG2dQm ||| https://flip.it/rJXDh- ||| https://bit.ly/3Cao8rm ||| MORE ||| SEE HASHTAGS BELOW SLIDESHOW TODAY★WORTH ® ||| https://bit.ly/3bdV32m ||| TRILOGI★MEDIA ★ SEARCH ® ||| https://bit.ly/3rViFjC LEAVE★THE★WORD ® ||| https://bit.ly/2Pwfobl ||| CANSWERIST ® ||| https://bit.ly/3crUCkq   ||| ALTACITIES ® ||| https://bit.ly/3i1lBYr   ||| TRIL ★ OPEDIA ® ||| https://bit.ly/38f76de ||| ||| HE SAID ||| SHE SAID ||| https://bit.ly/3sy8YrI ||| ALTAC...

HOA ▶ Bill of Rights

Post original on 10Oct17, revised 23March18 Re: California Davis-Stirling Law ▶ Google  ▶ Amazon  ▶ Slideshow   ▶ PDF If you live in a common interest development, aka homeowners association (HOA), as most are doing in the Temescal Valley (and some 9 million throughout California), you should have a reference to the DAVIS-STIRLING LAW (DSL). ▶ This site does not give legal advice ▶ PRIVACY STATEMENT    ▶  http://docdro.id/aEwMoct   Under DSL, a developer of a common interest development is able to create a homeowner association (HOA) to govern the development. As part of creating the HOA, the developer records a document known as the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) against the units or parcels within the HOA with the county recorder. So, first and foremost, the HOA is an invention for real estate developers and a consequence for homeowners who buy into HOAs. Even though it is not a governmental ...

Chances are the hashtag # FEMA is not an internet search you would normally conduct or follow, unless you have a disaster recovery matter to cover. And, in a related matter,  January 17, 1994  seems like a distant searchable date, but the day is memorable around the world and in particular for California as the occurrence of the devastating Northridge Earthquake .  For homeowners around the TRILOGY of neighborhoods in the Temescal Valley, the Northridge Quake may be a distant memory, but it is a harbinger of events that may follow.  Many authorities, including seismologists, are predicting that California is overdue for another Northridge-type quake.  Question is: When and where will this happen across our 163,696 square miles (423,970 km)? These questions are given some immediacy because, last week, on our Federal Capitol Hill, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-10) introduced the Disaster Assistance Support for Communities and Homeowners Act of 201...

Truly, that’s why this blogger calls them ALTACITIES .  Typically, such meetings are called to cover a controversial issue.  Often, homeowners seek to vent and resolve an issue about a board action or lack of ac...

For discussion sake, let us identify anyone 65 years or older as an ‘older adult.’ Our HOA community is reserved for 55+, but really, the population here is definitely 65+. Of course, not everyone in that age group has challenges or needs special accommodation, but there are other age-related factors for HOA owners and boards to consider. WHAT ▶ First, it is important to understand that the total US population is aging. California, as we know is home to millions of Baby Boomers , now en ...
